Get to know about the Sarajevo Film Festival; since it grew out of the ruins of the ‘90s civil war, the Sarajevo Film Festival has become one of the largest film festivals in Europe. Commercial and art-house flicks are showcased, mostly with English subtitles. Explore more highlights from Croatia to Slovenia including the medieval castle & the City Hall, the Postojna Caves, the former hometown of Roman Emperor Diocletian. Extend to Sarajevo (capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina); famous for its mosques, markets, & bazaars.

Trip Itinerary

Arrive in Zagreb and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure to recuperate from the journey.


Overnight: At the Hotel

Discover the Lower and medieval Upper Town of the capital of Croatia, with a local guide and admire the Austro-Hungarian architecture such as the Parliament, Stone Gate, the Archbishop’s Palace, and more.


Then proceed to Slovenia & arrive in its capital, Ljubljana.


Overnight: At the Hotel

After a walking tour to admire the medieval castle and the City Hall proceed to visit one of the highlights on this tour: The Postojna Caves, Europe’s most extensive and best known caves. 


Then into Croatia, traveling along the coast to Zadar. Over the centuries, Zadar was ruled by Venetians, Austro/ Hungarians, by Italy after WWI, and today it belongs to Croatia. Dinner at a restaurant.

Drive south to Split to visit with a local guide the former hometown of Roman Emperor Diocletian, his Palace, and Jupiter Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See more of the lovely Dalmatian Coast before reaching Dubrovnik. Dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a scenic drive into the rugged beauty of the Neretva Valley. Stop in Mostar, where a local guide shows you the Turkish Quarter with the Turkish House, the Mosque and the reconstructed 16th century bridge.


On to Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina and certainly the most Turkish-looking city in the Balkans; famous for its mosques, markets, and bazaars.


Discover the city with a local guide and get acquainted with its architectural highlights, including the Gazi Husrev-Beg Mosque. Dinner at restaurant and overnight.
