Explore Greece’s ‘’Bride of the North’’ (Thessaloniki) on a four-day visit just to tour the country’s unique history. Thessaloniki is rich in terms of people, scenery & culture such as the Beach Promenade (long & relaxing walk), Aristotle Square where people meet in large numbers; offering an opportunity to exchange culture.

Your tour includes a City Tour full monuments & other amazing landmarks, visit the ancient Agios Demetrius Byzantine church to it’s underground "Crypt", re-discovered after the 1917 fire & restored in 1988 (a saint was imprisoned & died here in 303 A.D according to the Christian history). In the same tour you will visit Pella City (ancient capital of Macedonia) the birth place of Alexander the Great – former King of Macedonia together with the Royal tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.

You still have a chance to dine with the locals of Thessaloniki for a wonderful experience of their unique cuisines.

Trip Itinerary

Arrival at Thessaloniki’s International airport. You will be greeted by our Airport Assistant and you will be transferred to your hotel. Free day for you to discover the wonderful “bride of the North”, as we call Thessaloniki in Greece.


Thessaloniki is the second largest town of Greece. Due to its central location, it serves as a commercial, business and transportation hub for all northern Greece. A town with long history and rich culture, Thessaloniki Greece is an ideal city break and intermediate destination before heading to the beach resorts of Halkidiki, Kavala and Pieria in northern Greece.


The most popular spot of the town is the Beach Promenade, where locals and visitors enjoy a long and relaxing walk any time of the day. Aristotle Square also gets busy, as this is the centre of Thessaloniki. Most sights and central quarters of the city are within a walking distance from this square.  


Check in at the hotel with the rest of the day free at leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the city tour. A city of great historic importance and a crossroad of so many civilizations and cultures. Begin the tour with a panoramic drive around the White Tower, the main landmarks of the city, the Galerius Arch, the Rotunda monument, the Old Town (Ano Poli) and the City Walls, from where you will have a marvelous view of Thessaloniki.  Your professional expert guide will provide you with all the information about Thessaloniki’s history old and new as you look at these stately buildings.


During the tour, there will be a short stop at Agios Demetrius Byzantine church which is the most important church of Thessaloniki for religious, historical and artistic reasons. The most famous and interesting part of the church is the underground ancient "Crypt". The crypt was re-discovered after the fire of 1917 and was finally restored as an exhibition/museum in 1988. According to the Christian Tradition, the saint was imprisoned here and died in 303 A.D.


You will also have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Museum which it holds and interprets artifacts from the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods, mostly from the city of Thessaloniki but also from the region of Macedonia in general.


After the end of the tour, return to the hotel & stay relaxed at your own pace.

Departure from the hotel for the visit of the archaeological site of Pella, the ancient capital of Macedonia and birthplace of Alexander the Great. Guided tour of the site and the museum.


Continuation to the archaeological site of Vergina, once the capital of the Macedonian kingdom and nowadays one of the most important archeological sites of Greece. Visit of the museum with the Royal tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.


Free time for lunch and re- turn to Thessaloniki.
