Rome For Pilgrims

Tour Overview

Here comes the best program for mostly Catholics interested in going deep into the details of the Catholic religion. Welcome to the home of the Pope and the Catholic council. The tradition of visiting all seven churches was started by Philip Neri around 1553 & included visits to St. Peter's Basilica, then St. Paul Outside-the-Walls, St. Sebastian's, St. John Lateran, Holy Cross-in-Jerusalem, St. Lawrence-Outside-the Walls & finally St. Mary Major. Pay a visit to any of the churches mentioned during your pilgrim trip & have a chance to be part of the Papal Audience (Wednesdays) in Paul VI Audience Hall together with a photo moment at St. Peter’s Square & a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica. Continue to San. Paolo Fuori le Mura, one of the patriarchal monasteries of Rome & return to the center of Rome to visit the Lateran Basilica & Santa Maria Maggiore. Also follow traces of the early Christians along Via Appia Antica to a catacomb.
