Zanzibar Safari Itinerary

You will spend your day in the white sand beach area of Kunduchi. Enjoy the biggest water theme park in East & Central Africa (Wet n wild). Have fun in the 29+ waterslides and fun swimming pool, ride Go-Karts and participate in the rain dance.

After a brief tour of Dar-es-salaam, you will depart for Zanzibar by Ferry. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to your hotel.

After lunch, you will go on a tour of Stone Town. This tour takes you through fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People's Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar's bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless antique mosques and spices in the spice market.

In 1983. Lloyd Mathews built this prison with an idea to send violent criminals from the Tanganyika mainland to the Prison Island. This island ended up being used as a quarantine center instead of a prison, mainly for Yellow Fever epidemics that raged through the region at the time. Under government ownership, the buildings were converted into a guest house.

Visit the Giant Tortoises.

The old prison still remains standing, providing shelter for some of the giant tortoises which can now only be found on this island.

Today, you will spend all day at leisure engaging in various optional activities. You may also choose to just lay at the beach all day.

You will be taken to the Ferry and travel back to Dar. On arrival, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
