Tour Overview

With this 6-day beach holiday is designed to offer you relaxed holiday. Spend your 5 nights relaxing in the white sands & enjoy a complementary “Barbecue Sea Food Lunch at Nakupenda Sands Bank”. Take an excursion through Stonetown ‘Mji Mkongwe’; the oldest part of Zanzibar City, located on the western coast of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago. Explore the rich history of this former flourishing center of the spice trade as well as slave trade in the 19^th century.

Get to Prison Island & interact with the giant tortoises plus a visit to the building ruin which currently serves a lovely guesthouse for tourists, where you'll be able to relax a bit and enjoy magnificent views. The rest of your holiday will be spent at Paje Beach doing personal explorations & a bit of souvenir shopping.

Trip Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ZANZIBAR

Arrive in Zanzibar at Zanzibar International airport: meet and greet then transfer to Stone town. Your driver will take you direct to the hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure & dine there.

Overnight: Double Tree Hotel

DAY 2: EXPLORE STONETOWN & PRISON TO PAJE BEACH

Today after breakfast, you will enjoy stone town walking tour for two hours admiring its architecture dating back to the 19th century, the unique Swahili culture, & a variety of spices in different aroma. Proceed to Prison Island (formally Changuu Island); once used as a Prison in 1893 & later used as a quarantine station for yellow fever cases. Spend time at the building ruin which currently serves as guesthouse, after your visit to the giant tortoises' reserve; admire the pets, and even feed these peaceful ancient creatures.

Have your delicious Sea Food Lunch with soft drinks at the Sand Bank of Nakupenda sands. Later in the evening you will be transferred to Paje beach from where the rest of the evening will be yours to enjoy.

DAY 3 – 5: PAJE BEACH AT LEISURE

With breakfast & meals at the hotel, enjoy the rest of your holiday at Paje Beach; this is the best time to swim in the pool at the resort or go taste some spa services at disposal. Alternatively, you can explore the resort’s surrounding for activities such as kite surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sport fishing or simply do some beach games like volleyball or soccer.

DAY 6: AIRPORT TRANSFER & OUTBOUND DEPARTURE

Today enjoy breakfast plus a free time & at 13:00hrs transfer to Zanzibar airport to connect to your International flight back home.
