Start your tour atop St. Paul's Hill, where you can get a lay of the land and bird's-eye views of the Strait of Malacca and the town square. Continue on to Porta de Santiago, whose weather-worn stones have stood since the 15th century and seen control by Dutch, British, and Portuguese forces.


Nearby, explore St. Peter's Church, learn about the confluence of East and West with a visit to a Portuguese-Malay community. At Jonker Street, look for antiques, handicrafts, colorful clothing, and other trinkets that make perfect souvenirs before you hop back in your shuttle and return to Kuala Lumpur.
