Start the day with a visit to the oldest & most important Hokkien temples in Singapore, Thian Hock Keng Temple. The temple was built in traditional southern Chinese architectural masterpiece of stone, tiles, dragons, phoenixes, amazing cravings, intricate sculptures & imposing columns. 

Have lunch and next stop is the National Orchid Garden, within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which boasts a colorful display of 60,000 orchid plants, with 400 species and more than 2,000 hybrids represented. Remember to look out for Miss Vanda Miss Joaquim, the national flower of Singapore.

Travel to Little India & see bustling streets showcasing aromatic & exotic spices, colorful flower-garland shops, vegetable vendors, busy curry houses & even henna painting. Tekka Centre remains a landmark in Little India, where different ethnic communities congregate.

Move to Kampong Glam, admire the quiet majesty of the Sultan’s Mosque with its unmistakable golden dome, explore colorful food eateries, & browse through old-fashioned shops selling batiks, carpets, rattan basket-ware and exotic perfumes. Later in the day, proceed to Newton Food center; the actual location for the street food fest in the film that’s had critics salivating with close to 100 stalls. End the day by visiting Gardens by the Bay that spans over 100 hectares; built at a cost of over one billion dollars.

Start your day at leisure & in the afternoon visit the Flower Dome, which are climate controlled indoor glass houses. The Flower Dome (the larger of the two) replicates the cool dry climate of the Mediterranean & South Africa, whereas the Cloud Forest replicates a cool moist climate found in Tropical Montane regions such as Mount Kinabalu in Sabah & high elevation areas in South America.

Admire the extraordinary “tree” structures at Gardens by the Bay, where the reception venue for the big wedding reception took place. Illuminated at night, the Super tree grove is definitely a magnificent sight. Make sure to get a good spot to watch the light display with delightful music.
